Welcome to my site as I will be promoting gardening tools and the latest in technology for gardening, along with items that one can use to make gardening easy along with advice on how to make your garden easy peas’ to do. Lilly is actually my dog! She loves when I garden and hanging out by her pool and loves to dig in the dirt when it comes to planting seeds and plants. I named this site after her as she is the heart of what I do and she does it with me.
MY STORY
I started gardening when I picked up a copy of Magnolia Journal (many years ago) – created by Chip and Joanna Gaines. An article was written on Flower Farming by Erin Benzakein, who does it in the State of Washington. Erin teaches gardening and how to create a flower farm, from FLORET FARMS. I love using the latest tools to garden with along with procedure’s on how to create beautiful gardens. You can catch Erin on the Discovery Channel – Growing Floret. When I lived in Flushing, Queens, New York, my father would tend to the garden every spring, summer and fall and I as a child had no interest but was fascinated by the Pink Azaleas that were used as hedges to separate our property from the neighbours. I did not become interested in gardening until I owed my own home, and moved to Canada. In New York, you can have Azaleas grown in the ground and not have to worry about taking them inside. I live in the Province of Manitoba, Canada and you can only have Azaleas as house plants. Winters are way too harsh here for them to be left outside. However, they can be grown in greenhouses that are kept warm during the winter months. They will always be my favorite flower. I learned so much from my late husband, who studied plants / Zoology at McGill University in Montreal. I spent many years watching HGTV here in Canada on how to do home décor along with gardening. Gardening can be fun but also intimidating as well.
WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE WITH GARDENING
I want to help people to understand what proper tools / products are great to use. Recently I acquired “stainless steel” gardening tools that are super cool to use. Yes, they can be expensive, but think about all the times you bought tools that rusted and you had to get rid of them. I want to help those understand how to garden properly even though, you know nothing about gardening and what tools to use and how to start your own flower farm.
THE GOAL IS TO EDUCATE AND INFORM
My goal is to promote excellent products to use in your garden that give the best results that you can get. This not only includes tools, but gardening products such as proper soil to use, trimmers, etc. Along with this, I love to help people when they have never done something or were afraid to attempt to do something because they were not sure of what to do or use. Life can be a learning curve and you are never too old to learn something new!
